This FAQ will give you an overview of using eVoIP on a suitably equipped mobile phone.

How does VoIP on my mobile phone work?

VoIP on your mobile phone works exactly like normal VoIP except that the physical connection is wireless, instead of wired.

What do I need for a wireless connection

A wireless router or an access point (WIFI).

Which Phones Work?

You can't use any old mobile phone! You need a modern mobile which has both WIFI access and VoIP. The list of phones is small, but is growing quickly.

The following Nokia phones have been tested to work with eVoIP:

Nokia e60
Nokia e61
Nokia e70

Note that other mobile phones, such as the Nokia N80 Internet Edition, will work with eVoIP, only the models listed above have been tested.

Who can use eVoIP on a mobile phone

Anyone with a mobile phone that supports SIP and VoIP.
